Gramma Linda, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was retired from Lordsburg Municipal Schools, where she worked in the school cafeteria. She loved working with and serving children and kept in touch with so many of the students she served throughout her long and wonderful life. She was also very active in the St. Joseph’s Ladies Alter Society, where she and entire group worked tirelessly at many Church functions. She was such a strong, happy person with an endurance what was amazing to say the very least. She loved music and singing, and, at her very best, last birthday party on earth, she sang to her hearts content to her favorite Mariachi music! Our family was truly blessed to have had her all these years and our hearts are so full of gratitude and grief at the same time, but Lord knows we will praise Him forever for affording us this precious lady as our Mom, Gramma Linda, Auntie, Cousin, friend and of course “Nina” to the many God Children she and dad sponsored and so loved. She’s now in perfect peace which she so much deserved and was so ready to accept. Her children’s lives are now forever changed and will miss her forever but will celebrate her amazing life each day with the blessed memories of her voice, her personal little sayings to each of us at the end of each day, and the love she expressed up until her last day.

Funeral services will be Monday morning November 28, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church beginning with the rosary at 9:30 to be led by Carlos Bejarano.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 o’clock with Fr. Jude Okonkwo, Pastor officiating.  Concluding services and interment will be at Shakespeare Cemetery.
