Jack D Colson

Jack D. Colson, 74, Deming resident passed away Wednesday August 14, 2019 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center is Las Cruces.

Memorial service will be held Thursday August 22, 2019 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Windmill Cowboy Church.  Pastor Bruce Medlin will officiate.  Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

Jack was born November 5, 1944 to Jesse J. Miller and Archie B. Colson in Montrose, Colorado.  He moved to Deming in 2009 coming from Colorado.  He served his country honorably in US Army and was a member of the Windmill Cowboy Church.  He loved animals, children and had a “green thumb” when it came to gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Colson of the home; son, Jeff Colson and wife Holly of Warwick, United Kingdom; step-sons, Jack Hall of Nevada, Nick Schlund of Colorado; step-daughters, Juanita Hibberd of Colorado, Laura Burns of Deming, Peggy Cano of Colorado, Leanne Nix of Texas; brother, Glen Colson and sister, Margie Sturgeon both of Colorado; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Jesse Colson; brother, Don Colson.
