Jeanne Helen Murati Lowell, 73, passed away on Friday, November 11th in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was born on August 19, 1949 in Porterville, California to Ed & Helen (Kostelnik) Murati. She has two brothers, Robert Murati of Tucson, Arizona and George Murati of San Augustine, Florida. Jeanne graduated from Deming High School in 1967 and attended NMSU for two years. She started working as a telephone operator in Deming and worked in different positions within the telephone industry until her retirement from Qwest Communications in 2000. She then worked for Zia Net until 2014. Jeanne has three children, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She married Eugene Reed Lowell on April 19th, 1993. They enjoyed traveling together in Germany, Egypt and Italy.
Jeanne enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; gardening, picking on Reed; spending time with friends, horseback riding and driving cars very fast. She was a generous, supportive, strong woman. She had a kind smile, a great laugh and loved her Lord, Jesus Christ.
In lieu of flowers, non-perishable food items may be donated to the Deming Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Thanksgiving food baskets or any organization to help feed those in need.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday November 29, 2022 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Bishop Trevor Williams will preside.
Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship following the memorial service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1000 West Florida, Deming, NM.
