Jesus Dominguez, 85, longtime Deming resident passed away Thursday April 1, 2021 at Mimbres Memorial Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 7, 2021 at 10 o’clock in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with a rosary service to follow at 11 o’clock led by Liz Dominguez. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 o’clock with Fr. Jesus Martinez officiating. Concluding services and interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery. Covid restrictions will be in place with masks and social distancing required. Maximum church capacity is 200. Mt. View Cemetery allows 10 at the graveside with the remainder of those attending to remain in their vehicle.
Jesus was born July 13, 1935 to Soledad Castillo and Francisco Dominguez at Estacion Conchos, Chihuahua, Mexico. He married Aurelia Chavez and together they raised their family eventually moving to Deming in 1971. After his retirement he always enjoy driving around the fields, going fishing, welding but he was well known for his famous asado and chicharrones. Jesus was a communicant of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by 5 sons, Francisco Alfredo Dominguez and his wife Rosalia of Omaha, NE, Jesus Fernando Dominguez and his wife Elvira of Union City, CA, Candelario “Candy” Dominguez and his wife Irma of Deming, Ladislado “Lalis” Dominguez and his wife Guadalupe of Las Cruces, Arturo Dominguez and his wife Elizabeth of Deming; daughters, Luz Teresa Green of Deming, Antonia “Suni” Flores and her husband Salvador of Salida, CA, Ana Julia Salazar and her husband Joel of Houston, TX; brothers, Antonio Dominguez and his wife Hilda of Deming and Francisco Dominguez and his wife Consuelo of Conchos, Chihuahua ; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Aurelia, his parents, and siblings, Manuel, Dolores and Teresa.
Serving as pallbearers will be Francisco, Jesus, Candelario, Lalis, Arturo and Antonio Dominguez.
