John Paul Rodriguez

John Paul Rodriguez, 82 of Santa Clara passed away March 1, 2025 at Fort Bayard Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 9:00 am at Santa Clara Catholic Church.  The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 10:00 am led by his brother, Richard Rodriguez.  The Funeral Liturgy will follow immediately thereafter.  Officiating will be Father Casmir Anozie.  At John’s request, cremation will follow.

John Paul Rodriguez was born May 27, 1942 in Silver City to Jose and Susana Rodriguez.  John served his country honorably in the United States Navy.  Upon his return, he worked various jobs and could do just about anything. He was truly, a “Jack of all Trades”.  He was an amazing mechanic as well as many other different skills.  John played guitar for many years and had played with several local bands including the “Lucky Seven Rockers”.  John will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

John is survived by three sons, Christopher Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez and John Rodriguez; two daughters, Melissa Green and Sue Ann Rodriguez; one brother, Richard Rodriguez; two sisters, Toni Provencio and Candie Molina. Also surviving him are many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two daughters, Dolores “Dodie” Rodriguez and Sylvia Medina; his nephew, Jason Rodriguez; brother, Joseph Rodriguez; and his brother in-law, Alex Provencio.
