Jose "Joe" Antonio Rodriguez

Jose Antonio Rodriguez, “Joe”, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2023, at the age of 46.

Visitation will take place at ten-thirty in the morning on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Baca's Funeral Chapel in Silver City, New Mexico. The Funeral Service will be at eleven o'clock. Concluding Services and Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Silver City. Officiating is Pastor Alex De la Garza.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Mariano Estrada, Leonardo Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez, Rebecca Hernandez, Leo Rodriguez, and Emiliano Rodriguez.

Honorary Pallbearers are Eugene Kirker, Marissa Rodriguez, Katrina Estrada, Mia Estrada, Perisha Rodriguez, Kholee Rodriguez, Zaydri Hernandez, ZioVonni Hernandez, Zamiyah Hernandez, and Jeanette Rodriguez.

Jose is survived by his mother, Leonor Mendoza; his father, Jose Rodriguez; his brothers, Mariano Estrada (Mary Lou), Leonardo Rodriguez (Jaclynn), Mario Rodriguez (Stephanie); Auntie Maria Hernandez (Mel); Uncle Alfredo Hernandez (Sylvia); numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eduardo and Juana Fajardo and his dog Misha.

Jose was born on August 21st, 1976. He graduated from Silver High School. He then went on to study auto body mechanics at Wyoming Tech. Later, he enrolled at Carrington College for pharmacy tech. Jose was a member of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Phoenix Chapter and an LGBTQ supporter. He worked as a circuit board technician at Varian Electronics for several years. He loved traveling, working, educating himself, and family/friend time.
