Joycelyn Bartlett Obituary

Joycelyn “Joyce” Bartlett a lifelong resident of Silver City entered eternal rest 5/22/2021. She was born 2/8/1956 in El Paso, Texas to Leonard Thomas Bennett and Bobbie Jean Bennett.

She is survived by her son Jake Bennett & wife Shawnda, Her daughter Kristen Bartlett Putterman & husband Tyler, Her son Michael Bartlett, Sister Susan Montoya & husband Ronnie, Grand kids Landen Bartlett, Christopher Bennett, Cameron & Tyler Hippen, Nieces Sue Montoya & Barbara Bennett, Nephew Shayne Montoya, Cousin Judy Bennett, Cousin Melinda Shane.  She is preceded in death by her Parents Leonard Thomas Bennett & Bobbie Jean Bennett, Uncle Joe Bennett, Brother Chuck Bennett, Nephew Rusty Montoya, Niece Shawna Bennett.

Joyce attended Western NM University. She worked in the tile making business for several years which turned into a hobby on the side that she deeply enjoyed.  She was a gifted artist creating works of art in ceramics and other mediums. She had a love for the outdoors. Kayaking, gardening and camping were just some of the many activities she enjoyed. She also enjoyed taking photographs of her family and the outdoors. One thing that was a huge part of her life from childhood until the day she passed was reading. She loved to read.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grand kids that she adored. She had many pets over the years. She loved animals. When she passed she had a dog that she adored who was always by her side. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

We will never forget Joyce and the special things about her. She will be deeply missed.

Cremation has been entrusted toBaca’s Funeral Chapels.  A special Celebration of Life will be held for Joyce at a later date in which everyone will be notified of the details.
