Juan "Bozo" Audon Martinez

With deep love and heavy hearts, we celebrate the life and memory of Juan Audon “Bozo” Martinez, of Silver City, who was born May 24, 1981 and passed away Monday, July 7, 2025.

He is survived by his loving mother, Loretta Martinez; his children, Josian and Mia, of El Paso, TX; his beloved partner, Stephanie Baca; brothers, Gabriel Fernandez, Will Fernandez, and Eric Murillo, all of Silver City; his nieces, Erikah (Didier) and great niece, Leilah May; Armani and Trinity Murillo; and his nephews, D’Angelo, Deegan Murillo, Rico Gandara and Reagan Gandara.

Juan was a very talented artist who drew many beautiful pictures/sketches for his children, nieces, and nephews, and for his friends’ children. He loved to play horseshoes and was really good at it and riding his Banshi, always enjoying time spent with family and friends. Juan was a shy guy in his own way, but always respectful and kind to everyone he met. He will also be remembered for his beautiful dimples and long eyelashes—a smile and gaze that could light up a room. He will be remembered also as a gentle soul who touched the lives of his family and friends with his kind heart.

Visitation will begin at nine o’clock in the morning on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Silver City. The Holy Rosary will be recited at nine-thirty. The Funeral Mass for Juan and his stepfather, Jack Abeyta, will follow at ten o’clock. The Rite of Committal and Interment will take place at Memory Lane Cemetery. Father Mathieu of Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery is officiating. Family and friends will gather in fellowship following the services at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Silver City.
