Juana E. Lozano, 89, longtime Deming resident passed away Tuesday March 2, 2021 at her home.
Visitation will be Saturday morning, March 6, 2021, at 10 o'clock at Holy Family Catholic Church. Recitation of the rosary will follow at 11 o’clock led by Maria Lozano with the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 o’clock noon. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery with Father Prakasham Babu, Pastor, officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 33% of the capacity of the church will be allowed, all must wear a mask and social distancing will apply. Livestream will be provided.
Juana was born July 20, 1931 to Elisa Quintana and Luis Espinoza in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married the love of her life, Juan Lozano on October 19, 1951 and moved to Deming where they raised their family together. She was a very devoted Catholic always praying for her and her loved ones. Juana was known to many as “Grandma Juanita” as she dedicated her time to the Deming Head Start and Memorial School for a period of ten years. She loved to travel, and was the heart of the family. She will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by 3 sons, Adan Lozano and wife Esperanza of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, MX, Roberto Lozano and wife Carmen, Arnoldo Lozano and wife Maria both of Deming; 6 daughters, Eva Lozano of Deming; Maria Alonso and husband Armando of Glendale, AZ, Elisa Hernandez of Deming, Dora Lozano of San Luis, Sonora, MX, Delia Armstrong and husband Charles of Surprise, AZ and Bertha Granillo and husband Martin of Deming; special granddaughter raised as a daughter, Sandra Turner and her husband Rick of Deming; 33 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Luis and Elisa Espinoza; 3 sons, Valentin, Juanito and Juanito Lozano II; husband, Juan Lozano; sister, Maria Elena Espinoza and brother, Felix Espinoza.
Pallbearers will be Martin Granillo III, Roberto Lozano, Armando Alonso, Orlando Lozano, Cesar Lozano and Victor Silva.
