Lane Forrest Van Allen was born July 6, 1938 in Battle Creek, MI. He entered his eternal home in Las Cruces on August 19, 2024.
He served his country in the Army from 1960 through 1962. He was a retired auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janet, and a sister. He is survived by his brother, Lew (Faye) Van Allen of Springfield, TN; and his partner, Virginia Frost of the home.
A private family burial will be held at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.
