Laurie Ann Baca

Laurie Ann Baca passed away on October 3, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces.

The Prayer Vigil and Rosary will take place on Monday, October 11, 2021 at ten o’clock in the morning, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at Baca’s Funeral Chapels.  Concluding services and burial will be at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie, Jeremy and Ronnie James Baca, Robert Corral, Robert Ortega and Joe Chavez, Jr.  Honorary pallbearer is Adam Baca.

Laurie was born on August 29, 1970 in Silver City to Elfego and Sally Baca.  In the past, Laurie had been employed by Wal-Mart for 16 years.  Her passion was watching football and basketball and was a die-hard Raiders fan and would also cheer for the Los Angeles Lakers.  Laurie was very proud of the fact that she had been able to go and see them play in person in what was then the Forum.  Everyone knew better not to call when the Raiders were playing because she wouldn’t answer the phone until the game was over.  Laurie was a caring and loving daughter, mother and sister.  She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.

Laurie is survived by her parents, Elfego and Sally Baca; daughter, Breanna Jurado and son, David Jurado III; her brothers, Ronnie Baca and his three children, Jeremy Baca and his wife Claudia and their two daughters, Adam Baca his wife Debbie and their two daughters.  Also, surviving her are her aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Epifanio and Florencia Chavez, Vidal and Maria Baca; Uncles, Don and Joe Chavez; aunts, Severa Torres, Julia Tapia and Lena Castorena.
