Lawrence P. Zumwalt, 54, a lifelong resident of Deming, NM passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM on Sunday, January 2, 2022. 

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled by the family and planned for a later date.  Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.  In lieu of flowers please donate a tree to the family or to our beautiful community. 

Larry as everyone called him, was born May 6, 1967 to Delbert and Mable Zumwalt in Deming, NM.  He was the youngest of five children.  Larry was loved by everyone that ever met him.  He had a true passion for caring for his roosters, and had many, many stories to tell about them.  He loved learning all that he could from his dad about them.  Larry was an extremely handy man and loved working with his hands. Whether it was caring for his family, working in his yard, or making things out of wood.  He was a true jack of all trades.  To Larry family was everything he loved them with his whole heart.  If you knew Larry you know that he never met a stranger, and he loved his friends just like family. 

Lawrence is survived by his two boys Larry and Everett, his fiancé Irene Pacheco, her children Sergio, Zeke, Mia, Dominic, and one grandson Jayden.  He is also survived by two sisters Annette(Rod) Lantz, Karen(Jimmy) Lieurance, three brothers Robert(Donna) Zumwalt, Lonnie and Dwight Zumwalt, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Larry was proceeded in death by both his parents, one brother Everett Zumwalt, and one nephew Robbie.
