Leo G. Watts age 91 went to be with our Lord and his loving wife Angela on February 17, 2021 of natural causes. He was born in Charles City, Iowa to Leo and Mabel Watts. He married Angela L. Leuenberger on April 13, 1953.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday afternoon, February 24, 2021 at 1 o’clock at Mountain View Cemetery. Deacon Art Gutierrez will officiate. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory. Masks and social distancing are required due to COVID 19 restrictions.
He grew up, married and raised his family with his wife in Iowa before retiring. He was active in the Boy Scouts and Knights of Columbus, he enjoyed camping, shooting pool and playing cards. In 1998, he moved to Deming, New Mexico. Where he was a volunteer fireman and volunteered at the Deming Luna Mimbres Museum. He also took up the sport of golf, desert style. At the time of his passing, he was the oldest living member of the New Mexico Knights of Columbus.
Dad always loved traveling both for work and travel. He received multiple certificates of recognition during his 25-year career.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Angela and sister, Beverly of New Hampton, Iowa. He is survived by his 4 children, Steve, Michael, Cindy (Tim Smith) and Dale (Kelly). He had multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
We all love and will miss him.
