Lorena Dominguez Garcia, 44, lifelong resident of Deming passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces.
Private visitation will begin Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 9 o’clock in the morning till 10 for immediate family only. Public visitation will begin at 10 to 10:30am at Baca’s Funeral Chapel with the restrictions of 5 people allowed in the chapel. Graveside services will follow at 11 at Mountain View Cemetery with the rite of committal and interment led by Fr. Prakasham Babu. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, must wear a mask and social distancing will apply.
Lorena Dominguez Garcia was born January 21, 1977 to Maria Elena Garcia and Guadalupe (G.G. Garcia) Garcia Garcia in Deming, New Mexico. Lorena was loving and willing to help anyone that asked her. She loved to spend time outside listening to music and doing yardwork. She was always the happiest when she was able to spend long periods of time watering outside, while she waved at everyone who rode by. Lorena will be remembered for her sweet face and cute dimples. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She will forever be in the garden of heaven.
“It will be a vast garden city, filled with a “ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9) We won’t just hear his sound in the garden (Genesis 3:10); we “will see his face” (Revelation 22:4).
She is survived by her children, Ray Abelardo Chavez, Arissa Nadia Garcia and Alexis Eaglestar all of Deming; 2 grandchildren, Honesty Love and Jordan Ray; a sister, Johnnie Garcia Ledezma and her husband, Jesus M. Ledezma Escobedo of San Antonio, TX; niece and nephew, Nayeli Garcia Ledezma and Antonio Garcia both of San Antonio, TX; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Lorena is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Maria Elena Garcia and Guadalupe (G. G. Garcia) Garcia Garcia; her daughter, Mia Lizette Eaglestar; maternal grandparents, Sara and Anastacio Dominguez and her paternal grandparents, Margarita and Lazaro Garcia.
