Lorraine Artiaga Gonzales

Lorraine Artiaga Gonzales, 57, of Silver City went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2021 at Gila Regional Medical Center. 

Cremation is entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels.  Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels with Funeral Service to follow thereafter.  Inurnment of her cremated remains will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery. 

Lorraine was born December 26, 1963 in Silver City to the late Antonio and Julia Vega Artiaga.  Lorraine was a very giving and loving person.  She lived in the moment with no regrets.  Lorraine had a big heart and was very forgiving to all she came across.  She also loved her cats very much and found joy in music.  Her kids and grandkids were the most important part of her life and she would do anything for them.  Lorraine was not one to care for materialistic things and everything she had was always enough.  Lorraine loved to sing and dance, there was never a dull moment in her presence.  Her jokes and unforgettable laughter will never be forgotten.  Lorraine “DeeDee” will be dearly missed.

 Lorraine is survived by her children, Jacob Gonzales of Tucson, AZ, Sgt. Jared Camilo Gonzales of the United States Marine Corps, and Tabitha Artiaga of Bayard, NM; three grandchildren who were her world, Roman, Azaria and Tianna all of Silver City.  Also surviving Lorraine are her siblings, Annette (David) Amador, Sandra (Louis) Ortiz, Patricia (Pat) Pena, Toni (Julio) Stegent, Lizzie Artiaga, Ray (Loretta) Artiaga and Daniel Artiaga of Espanola, NM.
