Lucy Orosco Hernandez

Lucy Orosco Hernandez, 72, died Monday, March 17, 2025 at Fort Bayard Medical Center.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary led by Dr. Gilbert Arizaga will begin at six o’clock in the evening on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Silver City. A private family inurnment will take place at San Lorenzo Cemetery at a later date.

Honorary Pallbearers are all of her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ysabel and Genoveva Portillo Orosco; son, Joseph Orosco; husband, Miguel B. Hernandez; and siblings, Eddie Joe Orosco, Lorenzo Orosco, and Teresa Orosco Flores; and niece, Amanda Rodriguez.
Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also preceded her death.

Lucy is survived by her sons, Ramon Orosco and Michael Hernandez; her brother, Antonio Orosco (Anne) and sister, Socorro Orosco Sierra (Willie).
She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Betty, Kyla, Trey, Champagne, Jordan, Joseph, Estrella, Mayriha, Bianca, Jazlyn and Mya; and her many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
