Manuel Mendoza Vasquez

Manuel Mendoza Vasquez “Boots”, 78, of Silver City passed away on Monday, March 12 2018 at his residence.

Visitation will take place on Monday, March 19, 2018  from five to six o’clock in the evening at Baca’s Funeral Chapels in Silver City.  The Prayer Vigil and Rosary will follow at six o’clock.  Officiating will be Deacon Art Gutierrez.

The Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at ten o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Concluding services and burial will be at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery.  Officiating will be Deacon Bill Holguin.  Serving as pallbearers are, Danny Vasquez Jr., Bruce Vasquez , Victor Gonzalez Jr., Danny Ortiz, Orlando Vigil III and Cesar Gandara.  Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Ybarra, Dennis Carrasco, Dean Carrasco, Edward Vasquez and Gilbert Chacon.

Manual was born on October 4, 1939 in Santa Rita to Manuel and Anita Vasquez.  “Boots” will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Manuel is survived by his sons, Danny Vasquez (Christina), Manny Vasquez (Amanda), and Brian Vasquez (Rebecca); daughter, Judy Vasquez; companion, Teresa J. Provencio; step-daughter, SueEllen Provencio; a special niece, Lorenza Chacon “Moody”; 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Vasquez; sister, Irma Chacon.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Anita Vasquez; brother, Pedro Vasquez; sisters, AliciaYbarra and Arcelia Ortiz; daughter, Irene Vasquez; son, Bruce Vasquez; granddaughter, Katrina Vasquez; grandson, Steven Miramontes.
