Manuela Lourdes Porras

Manuela Lourdes Porras, 65, a longtime Deming resident passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 in Las Cruces, NM.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Manuela will then be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery with her mother Maria Elena. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

Manuela was born November 19, 1959 in Ascension, Chihuahua, Mexico to her mother Maria Elena Porras. Manuela loved her family very much, especially her children and grandchildren. She always wanted them to love one another and to always be united. She was a very talented cook and always had meal prepared for her family.

She is survived by her children, Marcos (Victoria) Porras, Francisco (Rebecca) Porras, Adriana (Antonio) Vasquez, Joanna (Mark) Barrera, and Janet (Marcos) Orozco; 5 brothers, Raul Rosas, Alberto, Guillermo, Juan and Jaime Martin; her 2 sisters, Sylvia Porras and Maria Martin; 21 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Manuela is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Elena (Porras) Martin.
