Margarito Palma Peña

Margarito Palma Peña, 71, Deming resident passed away Monday August 27, 2018 at his daughter's home in Las Cruces.

Visitation will begin at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, August 29, 2018, at Baca's Funeral Chapel where a prayer vigil will be held at 6 o'clock led by Rosa Borrego. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday August 30, 2018 at Saint Ann's Catholic Church at 11 o'clock in the morning, Father Manuel F. Ibarra, officiating. Concluding service and inurnment will be Friday August 31, 2018 at 10 o'clock in the morning at Mountain View Cemetery.

Margarito was born June 10, 1947 to Margarita Rosas Peña and Martimiano Palma in Teporachi, Chihuahua, Mexico.  He moved to Deming in 1995 coming from Denver City, Texas.  He will be remembered for his hard work, always tearing down homes and rebuilding them. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Melendez Palma of the home; son, Cesar Noel Palma of Deming; daughters, Yesenia Palma Dominguez and husband Jorge of Las Cruces, Melissa Palma and husband Raul Garcia of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Elfido and Heriberto Palma; sisters, Yolanda, Lupe, Rosa, Clemencia and Rafaela Palma; 8 grandchildren, Kassandra, Jaqueline, Yanely, Adrian, Cesar Eden, Jocelyn, Arhianna and Larissa.

Preceded in death by his parents, Martimiano and Margarita Palma; brothers, Manuel, Ruben and Jesus Maria Palma; son, Ernesto Palma.
