Maria C. Balcazar, 48, a former resident of the area now living in Alabama died in a tragic automobile accident on Hwy 11 on Monday December 28, 2020 south of Deming.
Visitation will begin Tuesday January 5, 2021 at 9 o’clock in the morning at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church in Hatch. Rosary will follow at 10:30 am. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 11 o’clock with concluding services and interment to follow at Garden of Memories. Fr. Alejandro Reyes will officiate.
Maria was born September 10, 1972 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico to Juana Collazo and Ezequiel Cabral. She married Rolando Balcazar and together raised a family currently living in Boaz, Alabama. She was employed as a phlebotomist at the local hospital and was a communicant of the Catholic Church. Maria was known as the “life of the party”; she lived life to the fullest, having her family was one of her greatest joys; she always had a contagious smile that will be missed greatly.
She will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Rolando Balcazar of the home; 2 sons, Rolando E. and Ezequiel Balcazar of AL; 2 daughters, Adela Cabral and her companion Jose Garcia and Laura Balcazar and her companion Issac Gonzales of AL; 2 brothers, Eduardo Cabral of Roswell and Alberto Cabral of Palomas, MX; 2 sisters, Laura Balcazar and Imelda Cabral of AL; 6 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Adela Cabral.
