Mariano Soto Rodriguez

Mariano Soto Rodriguez ,80, passed away on Saturday September 18, 2021, at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, located in California, surrounded by his loved ones.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday September 29that 7 in the evening at the Apostolic Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church 432 W Saguaro St. Casa Grande, AZ. Mariano’s Funeral Service will be held at 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels in Silver City, New Mexico. Officiating will be Mr. Aaron Allen. Concluding services and Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery.

Mariano Rodriguez also known as “papoose” was born on July 14th, 1941, in Santa Rita, New Mexico to Mariano Rodriguez and Juanita Rodriguez. Mariano Rodriguez and his wife Esther Rodriguez moved to Arizona in the year of 2005. Mariano was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was our rock, our mentor and overall, our hero. He would spend his days with his family always helping with his grandchildren, attending sports events, attending church services and he would be seen around town doing his weekly routines. He made a great impression on everyone he met. Mariano found his faith and peace in God and prayed that his family and friends would find their way to the Lord.

He is survived by his son Mariano Jr. and his wife Celeste of Maricopa, AZ, son in law Armando Sanchez Sr. of San Bernardino, CA, Brother Gilbert Martinez of Albuquerque NM, Sister Julie Lucero of Chula Vista Ca, Grandchildren: Mariano Rodriguez III, Angelique Cruz, Robert Rodriguez, Isaac Rodriguez all of Maricopa AZ, Armando Sanchez Jr. Marissa Sanchez of San Bernardino CA, and 7 Great Grandchildren: Aiveri Rodriguez, Ryland Cruz, Julian Rodriguez, Maddux Cruz, Scarlett Cruz, Jonah Rodriguez all of Maricopa, AZ and Julian Ceja Of San Bernardino

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Esther Rodriguez, His daughter Margaret Jane Sanchez, Mother Juanita Rodriguez and Father Mariano Rodriguez.

Serving as pallbearers are Mariano Rodriguez III, Robert Rodriguez, Isaac Rodriguez, John Grijalva, Joshua Cruz, and Robert Ruiz.
