Marie Fisher Alvarado, aged 68, of Santa Clara, passed away in Houston TX, surrounded by family, Marie was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose life was defined by love, hard work, and devotion to her family.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at ten o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bayard. The Funeral Mass will take place at ten-thirty. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery. Father Martin Okonkwo will officiate.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Eloy Duran, Nathanael Fischer, Salvador Iturralde Jr., Armando Chaires Jr., Dion Ferrell, and Justin Duran.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kyle Brown, Kaiden Benny, Nathanael Fischer Jr., Eva Duran, Jaydon Carrillo, Lamya Carrillo, Zaylon Quintana, Brianna Fischer, Seth Fischer, Rito Medina, Nuri Ann Fischer, and Nevaeh Dominguez.
Marie is survived by her sisters Louise Sproul and Lorraine Alvarado; her nephews Nathanael Fischer (Salina) of Mesa, AZ, and Eloy Duran of Queen Creek, AZ; numerous great-nephews and nieces; aunt, Kate Iturralde; her very special cousins, Priscilla Chaires, Ray and Mary Alice Misquez; and a very special friend, Tina Rodriguez, who brought joy to her life.
Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Eva F. Alvarado; her sister, Mary Ann Alvarado; and her nephew, David Holguin.
Marie was a talented and creative soul who enjoyed spending her free time doing arts and crafts. Whether she was making something special for a loved one or creating simply for the joy of it, her creativity brought happiness to those around her.
Known for her incredible work ethic and her unwavering commitment to her family, Marie made it her life’s mission to ensure those she loved were always cared for. Her kindness, strength, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
