Martha Jane (Smith) Willis

Martha J. Willis, 81, a resident of Deming, NM passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025 at her daughter’s residence in Deming. She was born May 29, 1944 in Dayton, OH to James Smith and Martha Shinn.

A Memorial Service for Martha will be celebrated on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapel with Mike Hofacket officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

She is survived by her 3 children, Aaron Benningfield (Linda Rawson), Kelly (Gloria) Benningfield and Cindy (Dusty) Morris; a sister, Dottie Czerwonka; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Martha was preceded in death by her parents James and Martha Smith; her spouse, Wayland Willis; a son, Donnie Benningfield; a grandchild, Jeffery Benningfield and 4 of her siblings.
