“Chato”, as he was affectionately known, was born March 3, 1938 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Martin and Guadalupe Dominguez. He was a carpenter by trade, but was quite the handyman. At one point in Chato’s life, he was a boxer and had even considered the priesthood. He was a best friend to many. Those who knew him enjoyed being around him, listening to his stories and his humor. Just a generally old person, Chato will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Chato is survived by his companion, Ruth Padilla; sons, Albert Padilla and Charles Herrera; one brother, Javier Renteria; two sisters, Luz Guzman and Lupe Barragan; grandson, Joseph Padilla and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Teresa, Angelica, Benigna and one brother, Pedro.
