Marvin D. Pierce Sr. (Ace), 73, lifelong resident of Deming passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, unexpectedly at his home.
Ace was born on October 9, 1948 to Benjamin Franklin Pierce Sr. and Billie Jo Pruitt in Las Cruces, NM. He grew up and went to school in Deming. He proudly served his country as a Navy Seabee in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. Ace married the love of his life Jill on February 18, 1972. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Together they owned and operated Ace’s Sheet Metal for over 30 years. Ace was a talented man and taught his kids and grandkids many skills. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, cutting rocks and restoring old vehicles and old tractors. Ace was always there for friends and family.
Ace is preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother, Benjamin Franklin Pierce Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Jill of the home; a sister, Linda Pierce of Deming; a daughter, Susan Nicole (Mark) Jacobson of Forks, WA and a son, Doug (Amber) Pierce of Deming. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Brenda (Chad), Mark (Jennifer), Douglas, Dillan, Mathew and two great-granddaughters, Brynna and Braylee.
As per his wishes there will be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.
