Mary Jean Madrid

MARY JEAN "JEANNIE" MADRID, 60, resident of Lordsburg passed away Thursday July 15, 2021 at her home.

Visitation will be Thursday July 22, 2021 at 9 o’clock in the morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where a rosary will begin at 10 o’clock. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 o’clock with Fr. Jude Okonkwo, Pastor officiating.  Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Jeannie, as many knew her was born March 30, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She has been a resident of Lordsburg since 1992 having previously lived in St. Charles, Missouri.  "Ms. Jeannie" was a kindergarten teacher at R.V. Traylor Elementary for some time and currently was Lordsburg City Clerk with the City of Lordsburg.  She enjoyed music, dancing, and baking for her family who she loved very much.

She is survived by her husband Frank L. Madrid of Lordsburg; children, Jorge Palacios Jr. (Danni), Antonio Palacios (Michelle) and Nicholas Palacios all of Tucson, Arizona; Alyssa Palacios of Mesa, Arizona; and 8 grandchildren who she adored.  She is also survived by extended family, through her husband Frank, including Anthony Madrid (Sabrina), Frank Madrid Jr., Stephani Madrid and Angela Madrid.

Pallbearers will be Jorge and Danni Palacios, Antonio and Michelle Palacios, Xavier Palacios and Anthony Madrid.
