Michelle Brookhouser Obituary
Michelle Irene Brookhouser, 43, of Deming, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025.
Michelle was born on August 30, 1982, and raised in Deming, New Mexico. She graduated from Deming High School in 2000 and went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Bobby Brookhouser Jr., on November 7, 2003. Michelle later earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Western New Mexico University in 2006.
Michelle dedicated her career to helping others as a preschool teacher for HELP NM Early Childhood and Family Services. She loved her students as if they were her own and touched the lives of many through her kindness and compassion.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoyed reading, writing, and doing needlepoint. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. She had a special warmth about her—always putting others before herself and brightening every room she entered.
Michelle was preceded in death by her father, John Fritsen, and her mother, Chris Eve Fritsen (Davis). She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Brookhouser Jr.; their children, Austin Dean, Crissy Michele, Ty Henry, Joseph Robert, Kylee Olivia, Bailey Marie, and Logan Justice Brookhouser; and her cherished granddaughter, Lilyana Grace Brookhouser, along with two other granddaughters on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Justin Goad, Jenner Trujillo, Rebecca Gudowski, John Fritsen, and Dylan Michael Fritsen.
A service to celebrate Michelle’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday November 7, 2025, at Baca Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life at La Fonda Restaurant in Deming.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who reached out, prayed, and offered support during this difficult time. Especially our extended family at the 6JDC. Michelle will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her selflessness, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.
