Michelle Cuhen, 51, passed away July 8, 2026 in Tucson, AZ, surrounded by her family.
Michelle was born in Silver City, NM, to Josie Lopez and Miquel Cuhen. She spent her life surrounded by the people she loved the most. She was a devoted mother, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend. Michelle found happiness in helping others, doing yard work, cruising around, and caring for her dogs. Her caring nature touched everyone who knew her.
She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her generous heart, and the countless memories she created with those she loved. Her love and memories will continue to be the source of strength for her children, family and by all who knew her. Her spirit will forever inspire those around her. May her legacy of love continue to bring comfort and peace.
Michelle leaves behind her children, Miya (Alonso) Romo, Christopher Lopez, Izrael Cuhen, Ylianna Duarte, Josiah Duarte, and JJ Duarte; her brothers, David (Vangie) Valles, Michael Cuhen, and Ernest (Victoria) Cuhen; her sisters, Sandra Cuhen, Amber (Santiago) Ayon; her nieces and nephews; Rhea Valles, Jaimee Gomez, Michael Cuhen, Alexis Esquivel, Esai (Nicole) Lopez, Faith Lopez (Isaiah), Envy Lopez, Ozzy Cuhen, Exodus Cuhen, Mari Hernandez, Jaime Hernandez and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Josie Lopez, and her father, Miquel Cuhen. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 2:00 p.m. led by Deacon Art Gutierrez. At the family’s request, cremation will follow.
