Monserrate “Chalate” Maria Antillon, 71, longtime Deming resident passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 4 to 6 o’clock in the evening at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the holy rosary will be recited at 6 led by Emilia Barraza. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Holy Family Catholic Church with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Prakasham Babu, pastor will officiate.
Chalate was born July 12, 1950 in Palomas, Chihuahua to Nicolas and Escolastica (Garcia) Aguayo. She married Salvador Antillon and she had 5 children. On her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting. She was a beautiful woman and had a very high style taste in dressing and of course loved to do her make up and look her best. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild. She loved them very much. Monserrate was a very kind and sweet lady and she will be missed by all who’s hearts she has touched.
She is survived by her husband, Salvador Antillon of the home; her children, Fabian David (Lisa) Aguayo of Las Cruces, Jose Porras and Rosa Maria (Leo) Solis both of Deming, Fidaela (Carlos) Diaz of Irving, TX and Lupe Romero of Santa Fe; 3 sisters, Antonia Munoz of Columbus, Paulina Aguayo Flores of Deming and Eulialia Aguayo Carnero of Hatch; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. As well as a special son in law, Marcos Ramirez Diaz.
Preceded in death by her parents, Nicolas and Escolastica Aguayo; 4 brothers, Manuel, Jesus, Chuco and Ricardo Aguayo and 1 grandchild, Juanito Romero.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Ramirez, Manny Padilla, Marco Madrid, Ezequiel Nunez, Michael and Christian Flores.
