Nancy Lovesee, 77, of Bayard passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at University Medical Center in El Paso.
Nancy was born on July 17, 1941 to Harlan Bliss and Helen DeGeorge. She married in 1960 and had four children. Over the years, she worked many jobs. Nancy loved horses and worked at several race tracks. She loved antique cars and spent many hours the last two years watching car auctions with her son. Nancy went to nursing school and worked as a nurse’s aide at Fort Bayard Medical Center. She was also a bartender and many times worked two jobs to raise her children. Nancy was never without her cigarettes and diet coke. She enjoyed crafts, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, Star Trek and Wagon Train. She was our rock and the glue that held our family together.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Mark Lovesee and James Lovesee (Donna); two daughters, Micki Zapata (Willie) and Jacki Lovesee; five grandchildren, Tony Zapata, Joseph Zapata (Daya), Nick Zapata (Liz), Laura Lovesee, Richard Lovesee; two great-grandchildren, Phoenix and Ramona; one brother, James DeGeorge (Carol); five nieces and nephews, their spouses and children; best friend and sister, Eunice Loreto. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Barbara.
Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
