Ofelia Arambula

OFELIA P. ARAMBULA, 84, resident of Lordsburg passed away Thursday January 6, 2022 in Lordsburg.

Visitation will be Monday January 17, 2022 at The First Baptist Church beginning at 10 o’clock.  Funeral services will follow at 11 o’clock with Pastor Micheal Cannon officiating.  Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Ofelia was born January 30, 1937 in Lordsburg to Juan and Dolores (Camacho) Talavera.  She lived in Lordsburg until the age of 12 when her family moved to Colton, California.  Ofelia was a Beautician in Colton for many years and later moved back to Lordsburg after her marriage to Benjamin Arambula. 

Surviving family includes Maria (Cassie), Victor Arambula and Zyke Arambula; son Felix Rivera (Linda) of Colton, CA; sisters Mary Lou Sanchez and Linda Chavez of Colton, CA, and Gloria, Jane, Mary and Rosie; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Santino Rivera, sister Yoli Talavera and her husband Benjamin R. Arambula.

Pallbearers will be Zyke Ramirez Arambula, Nick Arambula, Rudy  Arambula, Steven Arambula, Nathaniel Palomarez, and Thomas Geaney.  Honorary bearers are Berna Arambula, Julia Ramirez, Teresa Ann Bravo, Terri Ann Bravo, Mary Ramirez, Irma Geaney and her loving bible study companions, Janice Palomarez, Vanessa Barrera, and Lori McCain.
