Olga A. Martinez, 87, of Lordsburg, NM was called home on August 30, 2021 in Las Cruces, NM.

Viewing will be at 9:30am Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Las Cruces. Rosary will be at 10:30am Saturday September 4, 2021. Funeral services follow at 11:00am, Saturday September 4, 2021 with Fr. Richard Catanach of Holy Cross Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in San Bernadino, CA.

Olga A. Martinez was born in Clifton, AZ to Lupe Avenia Mendoza & Manuel Rodriguez Mendoza May 13, 1934. She went to Chase Creek Grammar School and Clifton High School in Clifton, AZ.

Olga married Michael Martinez on March 28, 1978; they were married until his passing on September 11, 1990. Olga never remarried.

Olga worked as a CNA and went on to become a surgical tech, lab tech, and x-ray tech for over 30 years. She enjoyed sports especially football and boxing. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded by her mother Lupe, father Manuel, her husband Michael Martinez, 5 bothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by sisters, Theresa (Dan) Rios, Lucy (Robert) Amavisca; children, Arlene (Bill) Thomas, Manuel Chacon, Susan (Kevin) Roberts-Tegmeyer, Sylvia (Marcos) Zaragoza; grandchildren, Naomi (Jimmy) Armijo, Mark (Tiani) Chacon, Landyn Chacon, Suelena Thomas, Gentry Roberts, Brooks (Raeleen) Roberts, Cameron Roberts, Keenan Tegmeyer, Kaitlyn Tegmeyer, Shelby Zaragoza, Joshua Zaragoza, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Manuel Chacon, Bill Thomas, Kevin Tegmeyer, Brooks Roberts, Cameron Roberts, David Roberts.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lordsburg, NM. The family of Olga A. Martinez wishes to thank Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home, all of the Nursing and caregiving staff, Baca’s Funeral Home of Deming, and Fr. Richard Catanach of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
