Oralia C. Rede, 91, of Hurst, TX and formerly of Silver City passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 at the Texas Health HEB Hospital in Bedford, TX.
Oralia was born October 23, 1933, in Pleasanton, TX to Manuel and Rafaela Caballero.
She is preceded in death by her husband Catarino A. Rede and her daughter Linda Gullatt.
Oralia is survived by her son Mario Moreno, granddaughter Maria-Lisa Gullatt and a great granddaughter.
Throughout her life, Oralia dedicated countless hours volunteering with Literacy Link-Leamos, LULAC and Knights of Columbus offering support to those in need. Her selfless commitment to helping others left an indelible mark on this city. She was truly a community treasure in many rights, may she keep traveling with the Good Sams seeing this beautiful world that she loved.
Visitation will take place at five o’clock in the evening on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Silver City. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at six o’clock. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at eleven-thirty in the morning on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Saint Francis Newman Center in Silver City. Father Ephraim Ezulike will officiate. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery at one o’clock where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Catarino.
