Orelia Andrade Barrientos

 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Orelia Andrade Barrientos.

Orelia was born on April 4, 1938 to Maria Manuela Rodriguez and Jose Santos Andrade in Nuevo León, Mexico. She married the love of her life, Simon Barrientos, and together they raised seven children.

Orelia was a sweet, loving and generous person always putting God, her family and others before herself.  She enjoyed reading biblical scripture, playing lotería, cooking and reminiscing about the comical situations and sayings she experienced with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed crocheting and donating hats, scarves, and blankets to the homeless, Cancer survivors and to newborns in neo-natal hospitals. Orelia was a communicant of the Catholic Church and a woman of deep faith.

She is survived by her loving husband Simon Barrientos, her children Orelia Gonzalez, Lydia Chapa and husband Ramiro, Maria Barrientos, Maria Guadalupe Orozco and husband Francisco all of Hollister Ca, Simon Barrientos Jr and wife Roberta of San Diego Ca, Ricardo Barrientos and wife Tabitha of Santa Clara Ca, Deanna Barrientos of Hollister Ca., she was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Orelia is preceded in death by her parents J. Santos Andrade and Maria Manuela Andrade, siblings Pedro Andrade, Guadalupe de los Reyes, Dora Torres, Juventino Andrade, Leopoldo Andrade, Liborio Andrade and Manuela Zuniga. 

A celebration of life will take place at a later date in Hollister Ca.  Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Mimbres Crematorium.
