Otilia Jasso Zamora

Otilia Jasso Zamora, 92, a former resident of Deming passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the home of her daughter, Gloria in Las Cruces.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2020 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at three o’clock at Mountain View Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Pastor, Brad Reeves will officiate.

Otilia was born December 14, 1927 to Narciso Jasso and Inez Avalos in Deming. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and playing with her dogs, whom she loved dearly. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church and sang in the choir.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Theresa (James) Miley of Cincinnati, OH, Gloria (Moses) Montellano of Las Cruces and a son, Michael Zamora (Cynthia) of Magdalena, NM; 1 sister, Susie Short of Riverside, CA and 17 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Narciso and Inez Jasso; 7 brothers, Joe, Max, Arthur, Stanley, Trinidad, Gene and Candido Jasso; a sister, Juanita Jasso; son, Joel Jasso and 2 grandchildren, Rebecca and Jacob Jasso.
