Patricia (Pat) Ann Fletcher

Patricia (Pat) Ann Fletcher of Silver City passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2020.

 She was born on December 1, 1934 in Seminole, Oklahoma to James and Lola Evans. Pat attended East Central State College from 1951-1954 in Ada, Oklahoma. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a minor in English and Psychology. Pat worked for Phelps Dodge Corporation from 1971-1996 from where she retired, having spent most of her career as a supervisor in data entry operations. While healthy, Pat enjoyed an exuberant zest for a fulfilling life. She participated in organized athletics as a child and enjoyed practical jokes as an adult. She would laugh about the “trouble” her adventures would occasionally get her in to and relish the enjoyment that accompanied them. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help others.

 Pat is survived by her husband John Fletcher; sister Frances Farley; brother Alan Evans; sisters-in-law Sheila Evans and Carolyn Evans; sons Mark Dawson and Bruce Dawson, grandsons David Dawson, Daniel Dawson and Dane Dawson; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers James Evans Jr. and William Evans; and sister Mary Savage.
