Patricia "Patty" Luchsinger

Patricia “Patty” Luchsinger, 64, peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1959 to Eldon Paul and Beverly Jean Luchsinger in Glasgow, MT. She was the 4th of 5 children.

Her family moved several times while Patty was growing up before they called Deming their home. She graduated from Deming High School in 1977 and left to pursue a degree in Art from University of Central Oklahoma, in Edmond, OK. Patty began teaching in Texas, but soon moved back to Deming to continue her teaching career and continuing her education.  She taught Special Education at Deming Junior High, then moved to her passion as the Art teacher. She did this until her retirement in 2012. Patty was a brilliant and talented artist.  She had an artistic gift and pursued it, she enjoyed watercolor, oil painting and making clay pots. She loved painting t-shirts, underwear or whatever your heart desired. Patty had a love for her 4-legged friends, these animals were truly her best friends.

Patty will be greatly missed by so many. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eldon Paul, and Beverly Jean Luchsinger; a brother, Early Paul, and her brother-in-law, Frank Hervol Jr. She is survived by her 3 sisters, Cathy Hervol, Liana Hervol, and Jennifer Tubbs and many nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, May 27, 2023 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Deming Arts Council and the Deming Animal Society.
