Prisciliano Barrera Barraza

Prisciliano Barrera Barraza, 88, Deming resident passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at his home.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, with the final internment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Pastor Obed Rivera will be officiating.

Prisciliano was born to Celia Barraza and Eufemio Barrera on October 10, 1936 in Las Cruces, Namiquipa, Chihuahua. He had a love for horses and enjoyed going out to eat at family gatherings but most of all he loved his grandchildren.

Prisciliano is survived by his wife Guadalupe Barrera; sons, Jose Jesus, Flavio (Araceli) and Elder Uriel Barrera; daughters, Imelda, and Guadalupe Gardenia Barrera; 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Joaquin (Rosalba), Octavio (Ruth) and Lucio Barrera; 5 sisters, Hortencia Barrera, Maria Isabel Barraza, Anita (Ricardo) Barraza Celia Ruiz and Minerva Barrera.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings, Rosalba, and Cornelio Barrera.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Jesus Barrera, Elder Barrera, Orlando Javier Duran, Adrian Palomares, Edgar Palomares and Flavio Cesar Barrera.
