Priscilla M. Ordoñez, 55, a resident of Bayard, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, New Mexico. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Baca’s Funeral Chapels.
A Memorial Service for Priscilla will be held at Baca's Funeral Chapels in Silver City, New Mexico on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at three o'clock in the afternoon. Officiating are Pastor Andrew Zamora and Deacon Art Gutierrez.
Priscilla was born on September 3, 1966 to Gilbert Madrid and Helen (Norero) Madrid in Silver City, New Mexico.
She was the best wife and friend anyone could ask for. Priscilla was always ready and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. She had a heart-of-gold and would do anything for her loved ones. Her children and grandchildren were her whole world. Always an animal lover, her two pet dogs, Blue and Lilly also held a special place in her heart. In her free time, Priscilla was an avid volunteer, forever seeking opportunities to help others. She enjoyed sharing her love of cooking with her family, especially making tortillas for her father, Gilbert. Priscilla and her husband, Steve, loved visiting local Bingo halls in Grant County and, more recently, in El Paso. Priscilla had been pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice with plans to work as a paralegal. She was a believer in Jesus Christ. Her faith in the Lord was instilled in her by her mother, Helen, and was a cornerstone of their relationship.
Priscilla is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Madrid; her grandparents, Lupe and Willie Norero, Genoveva and Willie Madrid, Ermilina “Minni” Villalobos and Concepcion “Chon” Villalobos; and good friend, Laura Madero.
She is survived by her spouse of over 35 years, Steve D. Ordoñez; two sons, Andy M. Ordoñez and Steve M. Ordoñez Jr. (Michelle), both of Bayard, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Kyra and Ezikial Ordoñez of Bayard, New Mexico; her father, Gilbert C. Madrid; mother- and father-in-law, Arthur and Dora Ordoñez; brother, Michael Madrid (Anita) and children, Jocelyn Sias (Anna) and Olivia Granillo (Marcos) , all of Bayard, New Mexico; brother, Gilbert Madrid Jr. and son Gilbert Madrid III of Bayard, New Mexico; sister, Christina Madrid (Leandro) and children, Valerie Amador (Rudolpho Sandoval) and David Amador Jr.; sister, Becky Ortiz and children, Andrea Villa (Adam) and Victoria Ortiz; great-nephews, Adrian Juarez, Xavior Cuevas, Marcos Granillo Jr., “Ruben Granillo; great-nieces, Frances Sandoval, Amiyah Sandoval, AliRae Juarez, Vanezia McDonald, and Mercadies Sandoval.
