Rafael "Ralph" Martinez Medina Sr

Rafael “Ralph” Medina Sr, 69, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX. Ralph was born January 2, 1956 in Silver City, NM to Abel Medina and Frances “Keka” Martinez.

Ralph was preceded in death by both his parents and four brothers: Jimmy Martinez, Ray Medina, Abel Medina, and Edward “Walo” Medina.

Ralph worked as a tire mechanic for Freeport mines. Later on, he went to work for the city. Ralph enjoyed going fishing and liked drawing and art. One of his hobbies was making scorpions out of wire or copper.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Maria and son, Enrique of Silver City; his three sons, Rafael Jr, Medina, Jason Medina, and Andres, “Andy” Medina; his only daughter, April Medina (Victor Acosta); his two uncles, Cipriano Martinez, and Eleuterio “Telo” Muñoz (Ramona “Munchi” Muñoz); and his last living brother, Frank “Keko” Medina (Lupe). Ralph had five grandchildren and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed.

Per Ralph’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

The Rite of Committal and Inurnment will take place at one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Saint Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Silver City. Deacon Bill Holguin will officiate.
