Ramon was born on May 20, 1938 in Hanover, New Mexico to Federico and Daria (Chavez) Campos. He was a devoted employee of Chino Mine for eleven years, working as a puncher. His daughter Marji’s fondest memories with her dad will always be his barbecuing fajitas for her birthday, and her making tacos for his. She will miss his dancing and ‘being a payaso’; watching Laramie and his other western television shows together; and catching him having conversations with their cat ‘Peanut’, calling her ‘pretty girl’. Ramon’s daughter-in-law, Rosie, would like to thank him for treating her like his own daughter and for everything he has done for her and Ray. He will be missed, but his loved ones will carry him in their hearts forever and love him always.
Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, Federico and Daria Campos; his wife, Rosemary; his son, Ramon Campos Jr.; one niece and many cousins.
He is survived by his daughter, Marji Campos of the family home; brother, Miguel Campos (Carmen) of Los Lunas, New Mexico; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Campos of El Paso, Texas; granddaughters, Elizabeth Menchaca Campos and Melanie Diane Campos, both of El Paso, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; many cousins and extended family members.
