Ramona Gutierrez de Chavez, 78, Columbus resident, formerly of Palomas passed away Tuesday July 14, 2020 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

A service will take place in Palomas on Friday July 17, 2020.

Ramona was born September 9, 1941 to Cayetana Armendariz and Rafael Gutierrez in Janos, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church and enjoyed to sing, dance and play word search of every type.

She is survived by her children, Jose Manuel Chavez of Reno, NV, Oscar Chavez of El Paso, Thelma and Anna Alicia Chavez both of Columbus; brother, Jose Gutierrez of Palomas; sister, Elvira Castillo of Chihuahua, MX; 1 granddaughter, Mariana Chavez.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar Chavez; brothers, Antonio Gutierrez, Domingo Gutierrez, Gustavo Gutierrez and Rafael Gutierrez; sister, Leonor Garcia.
