Reynaldo "Rayne" Chacon Baca

Reynaldo Chacon Baca, 79, was called home on October 4, 2021.

“Rayne” as most people knew him by was such a fun-loving man.  He was born in Santa Rita, New Mexico to Vidal and Maria Baca. He worked for many years at the Grant County Road Department and many years for the Gila National Forest Service. He loved going out to eat at least twice a week with his best friend Linda Detrick. He could walk his little dog “Lady” around town for hours. Anyone that knew Rayne knew that he loved his oldies but goodies as he would say. He was such an amazing father and grandfather.

He is survived by his five children, Anthony Baca and his wife Traci of Texas, Kathy Molina and her husband Matthew of Silver City, Ryan Baca and his fiancé, Heather of Oklahoma, Stephanie Baca of Silver City, and Jeffrey of Silver City; his 11 grandchildren survive him as well as his brothers, Ramon Baca and wife Carmen of Faywood, New Mexico, Vidal Baca Jr of California, Jimmy Baca and wife Della of Hurley New Mexico and Alfie Baca and his wife Sally of Silver City.  Also surviving Rayne are his sisters, Gloria Corral and Corina Chavez both of Silver City. He is preceded in death by his parents Vidal and Maria Baca and his sisters Julia Tapia and Lena Castorena. His celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
