Richard Almanza, 56, lifelong Deming resident passed away Wednesday March 6, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be Monday March 11, 2019 from 4 until 6 o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Rosary will follow at 7 o’clock at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place Tuesday March 12, 2019 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Father Manuel F. Ibarra, Pastor, will officiate.
Richard was born September 11, 1962 to Romelia Rodriguez and Manuel Almanza in Deming. He worked most of his life doing wrought iron, and later working at Solitaire Homes. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, playing with his grandchildren, whether it be soccer, tossing a ball, or just sitting around spending time together. He will be remembered for the love he shared and showed to his family and grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his wife, Lety of the home; daughters, Rosanna Sanchez and husband Matthew, Jessica Alvarado and husband Jonathan, Brianna Almanza all of Deming; 6 grandchildren, Miranda, Matthew and Jacob Sanchez, Mireya, Hernan and Sofia Madrid; mother, Romelia Almanza of Deming; brother, Manuel Almanza and wife Carmela of Deming; sisters, Irma Almanza (Gabriela) of Arizona, Cecilia Solis and husband Gilbert, Elizabeth Granillo and husband Matias, Carolina Carrillo and husband Ernesto, Lourdes Almanza (Chris) all of Deming.
Preceded in death by his father, Manuel Almanza in 2014.
