Richard Ralph Haymes

Richard Ralph Haymes left us on March 31,2024.  Richard, an accomplished artist, composer, singer songwriter, and puppeteer, was born on July 24,1942 to Joanne Letitia Lacock, an actress, and Richard Benjamin Haymes, a Big Band Vocalist in New York, NY.  Early school years, Richard attended boarding schools in CA and AZ.  While talented in music, he also shared a love for animals, especially birds and horses.  But his real love was music.  He attended the University of North Texas school for music.  He spent about forty years living in NYC, eventually moving to Silver City, NM.

 
Richard is survived by his two daughters, Sharon Haymes, Nicole Haymes-Carlson; four grandchildren, Michael Rader, Nicholas Trevena, Donovan Tacadena, and Mary Ann Haymes Santana; two great grandchildren, Brennan Trevena, and Gianna Tacadena; siblings Joanna Haymes-Campbell, Sean Haymes, Stephanie Haymes, Samantha Haymes.

He was predeceased in 1993 by his sister, Nugent Haymes.
