ROBERT QUILLMAN ROGERS III, 23, resident of Deming passed away Wednesday November 20, 2024.
Funeral services will be Wednesday December 4, 2024 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Koreen Guillermo of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
Robert was born March 2, 2001 in Deming to Robert Q. Rogers Jr. and Luisa Corral Rogers. He graduated from Deming High School in 2019 with honors. Robert was a member of the DHS Band in which he played the saxophone. He furthered his education at Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas where he attended the Whitlock School of Engineering from where he also graduated with honors. Robert was also very athletic and enjoyed playing golf, snow boarding and baseball as well as once being active with Eagle Scouts. He was currently working with Mewbourne Oil Company near Lubbock and was past president of the Society of Professional Petroleum Engineers. His family remember him as being a very dedicated person in everything he did.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Luisa Rogers; aunts, Olivia Rogers, Alba Rogers Mohr, and cousin Robert Mohr M.D. and his wife Theresa; maternal aunts Olivia Castillo, Gloria Corral, and Enedina Corral; uncles Leopoldo Corral , Manuel Corral, Epifanio Corral, Roberto Corral, Sigifredo Corral and Luis Corral; numerous cousins, friends and coworkers.
Pallbearers will be Bob Rogers, Robert Mohr, Blaine Simmons, Walker Johnson, Angelo Garcia and Alex Valtierra.
