Roberto S. Barba

In loving memory of Roberto S. Barba, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who passed away on March 31, 2024 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces.

A rosary will take place Friday, April 5, 2024 at ten o’clock in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church led by Maria Palacios.  Memorial Mass will follow at eleven o’clock with Fr. Francis Gyau officiating  Inurnment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.

Roberto was born in Deming to Virginia Sanchez and Ventura Barba. He cherished the warmth of Summer because he got to enjoy playing with his grandkids and socializing with his neighbors who he considered family. With his advice, knowledge and a patient heart, he guided his children in the art of building and fixing things leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and craftsmanship. He took a piece of our hearts and will be deeply missed but forever loved and remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Alicia Barba, children; Roberto P. (Lidia) Barba Jr. Marissa (Bobby) Orosco and Rene (Viviana) Barba, grandkids, Casandra, Monica, Alejandra, Deana, Liam, and Maya, and his great granddaughter, Kaylani, brother; Salvador Quiroz, sisters; Arcelia Sanchez, Cecilia, Lorena and Susana Quiroz.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ventura and Virginia Barba.
