Roberto Vasquez, 40, Deming resident passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 in Midland, TX.
Visitation will begin Friday, May 27, 2022 from 9 to 10 o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the holy rosary will begin at 10 and a funeral liturgy to follow. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery. Deacon Manny Madrid will officiate.
Roberto was born September 14, 1981 in Florence, AZ to Samuel and Carlotta (Hernandez) Vasquez. He moved to Deming in 1993 along with the rest of his family and eventually made Deming his new home. Roberto was a very gifted boxer at a young age as was able to fight in Mississippi Golden Glove Nationals. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Just like his late siter, Celia, they both enjoyed good music, grilling and being around family, both very hard-working people and of course enjoyed a cold drink from time to time. Most of all he was a very loving and caring father and brother.
He is survived by his children, Angel and Damien Vasquez both of Deming; his parents, Samuel and Carlotta Vasquez; 4 siblings, Juan Vasquez (Denise Apodaca) of Deming and Daniel Vasquez (Lourdes Pinon) of Casa Grande, AZ, Hendrietta Reyes (Jose Mejia) of Gangsville, GA and Natalia Vasquez (Oscar Madrid) of Deming.
Roberto is preceded in death by his 2 siblings, Refugio Hernandez and Celia Vasquez.
Serving as pallbearers will be Israel, Juan, Damian and Angel Vasquez, Guillermo, Jesus, Oscar Jr., Oscar, Jose and Enrique Madrid, Jose Mejia, Carlos Payan and Angel Muñoz.
