Robney "Robby" Beck

Robney Wayne “Robby” Beck passed from this life Thursday, April 24, 2025 in Silver City.

He was the son of Robert Wayne and Betty Jean Brewer Beck, born August 28, 1950 in Silver City, living his entire life in Bayard, graduating from Cobre High School.

Robby worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. first at Santa Rita on the bull gang, later transferring to the smelter, working as a smelter mechanic and mill mechanic.

Robby was a master welder and enjoyed creating things for people, his pride of which was horse trailers. Also an amazing painter, he did amazing custom paint on vehicles. He also enjoyed entertaining people, grilling, and outdoor get-togethers.

Robby was preceded in death by his parents and companion, Martina Ramirez. Robby will be laid to rest with his father. He is survived by many cousins.
