Rosa Maria (Nevarez) Aguilar

Rosa Maria Aguilar, 63, Deming resident passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at her home.

Visitation will begin Monday, November 4, 2024 from 4 to 6 o’clock in the evening at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. The recitation of the holy rosary will follow at 6 led by Irma Jaurequi. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 11 o’clock in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church followed by the rite of committal and interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Francis Gyua, Pastor, will officiate.

Rosy was born June 19, 1961 in Ascencion, Chihuahua to Gregorio Nevarez and Carmela Coronado. Rosy was young at heart. She loved to travel, knit, loved music, and she also enjoyed dancing, she will be known for being the first one on the dance floor. She always enjoyed playing cards and learning new recipes. Rosa left us a wonderful cookbook and made the best Mexican rice. Rosy was a wonderful grandmother and loving friend. She was always there for anyone. She was a loving and caring mother to her children, sister to her siblings, and grandmother to her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched.

Survivors include her children, Maria-Emma (Peter) Casillas and Luisa (Abraham) Nevarez; 4 siblings, Blas Nevarez, Sara (Mario) Mireles, Guadalupe (Rene) Amaya, and Chelito (Arturo) Casillas; 5 grandchildren and her companion, Javier Ruiz.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gregorio and Carmela Nevarez, and 2 siblings, Ignacio Paez and Gabina Casillas and a daughter, Carmen Nevarez.

Receiving the honor to serve as pallbearers will be Joel Amaya, Ignacio Amaya, Blas Nevarez, Mario Mireles, Peter Casillas, Abraham Cisneros, and Javier Ruiz.
